Workshop for Young Critics in Stockholm

Workshop for Young Critics in Stockholm

The International Association of Theatre Critics (IATC) is organizing a workshop for young theatre critics which will take place from August 23 to 29, 2018 in Stockholm, within in the framework and with the support of the Ingmar Bergman International Festival. You can apply immediately, to be chosen as one of ten participants. The working language for this workshop will be English.

To send your application, you must be a professional critic aged between 18 and 35. All candidates are invited to send their application with a brief CV (just one page!), two or three samples of articles already published in media, and a letter of recommendation from the person in charge of the AICT/IATC section in your country. (Please request this from Jeffrey Eric Jenkins.) All these documents must be sent in a single PDF file. Please note the following:

  1. Candidates must send their application themselves, NOT have them sent by the IATC/AICT sections.
  2. Please be conversant, if not fluent in English.

Accommodations will be in shared rooms and  lunch and the evening meals are included. You will receive a free pass for all the shows and for the discussions that will take place during the Festival. You will be picked up at the train station. This working group will be monitored by Russian critic Alexandra Dunaeva.

Applications will be accepted until July 15, 2018. They must be sent via email to Jean-Pierre Han, Director of Seminars (jp.han@free.fr). A final list of successful applicants participants will be announced as soon as possible, to allow time for preparing your trip, and getting a visa for Sweden, if needed.
