Brad Hathaway, Vice Chair (2015-2018)
Before relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2011, Hathaway established a national voice in the theater community from Washington, DC. He began reviewing theater for the Connection Newspaper chain on the Virginia side of the Potomac, then came early to the digital world as the Broadway correspondent for Musical Stages Online and the Washington correspondent for Theatre.Com. In 2001 he established PotomacStages.Com, the first comprehensive website covering both community and professional theater in Washington, Maryland and Virginia. It is archived at the Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library of the University of Maryland. Hathaway’s other writings are at BradHathaway.Com. He has written features and columns for Show Music Magazine, American Theatre Magazine, the Sondheim Review, Stage Directions, Entertainment Design/Live Design and Washington DC’s The Hill Rag. For ATCA, he is serving his third three-year term on the Executive Committee and is currently the Vice Chair.
