ATCANY2022 | Chair issues greeting while final preparations continue

Chair David John Chávez has crafted a notice to ATCA members about the upcoming conference. While the hard-working conference committee puts finishing touches on plans and navigates last minute changes (aren’t there always last minute changes?) Chávez reminds the membership of the milestone of this 2022 in person conference.

“After three years of virtual engagement, we will be hosting our in-person return conference in New York City. We are absolutely thrilled by the incredible programming that has been assembled for our participants, including panels and conversations with multiple critics and artists who represent the vanguard of our industry. New and veteran members of our organization will be honored for various achievements, and we cannot wait to bridge the pillars of our organization with the future of theatre and cultural criticism and journalism.”

The agenda is gelling, and New York City awaits. For those who have been dragging their feet, join your 60-plus colleagues and register for the conference at full price.

New York City conference committee members Scott Bennett, David John Chávez, Jay Handelman, Lou Harry, Bill Hirschman, Frank Rizzo, Martha Wade Steketee, and Maren Scriven Swensen wish safe travels and happy theater-going to everyone.
