

ATCA members are invited to join chair New Play Committee chair Cameron Kelsall and ATCA Executive Committee vice chair Lou Harry for the 28th Pacific Playwrights Festival plays and award presentations in Costa Mesa, California May 1-3, 2026.
The Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award and the Osborn New Play Award will be presented immediately prior to the Saturday May 2, 2026 performance of Eat Me, that was featured as a reading in last year’s festival.
Launched in 1998, South Coast Repertory’s annual Pacific Playwrights Festival (PPF), part of The Lab@SCR, is a major national showcase for new plays. The 28th festival will feature world premiere productions and staged readings.
2026 readings to include: The Ingenue by Eleanor Burgess, Three-Headed Monster by JuCoby Johnson directed by H. Adam Harris, Pleasers by Avery Deutsch, Blow Away the Clouds by Evelina Fernández directed by José Luis Valenzuela, and Advanced Persistent Teenagers by Deepak Kumar directed by Morgan Green.
2026 full productions to include: Fremont Ave. by Reggie D. White directed by Lili-Anne Brown, and Eat Me by Talene Monahon directed by Caitlin Sullivan.
