ATCA Connects programming on March 15, 2022 explores theater newsletters
Over the past few decades, theater criticism has moved from newspapers and magazines to blogs, social media, video and more. This month’s topic for the splendid series of on-line programming developed by ATCA committees over the past year is newsletters.
On March 15, 2022 at at 8pm Eastern Time, a new ATCA Connects session free to ATCA members will explore with guest journalists why a theater critic might start a newsletter, what tools are needed to get started, what content should go into it, how to find subscribers and bring in revenue.
Lauren Halvorsen (@halvorsen), a writer, editor, administrator and dramaturg from Washington, D.C. Her newsletter, Nothing for the Group, was a 2021 Editor’s Pick for “Best Way to Learn About the American Theatre Industry” by the Washington City Paper. nothingforthegroup.substack.com
