ATCA-PPF20 Costa Mesa meeting postponed

World and national health concerns due to the spread of COVID-19 have led ATCA leadership and conference chairs to postpone the upcoming April conference in Costa Mesa, California and the surrounding area.

ATCA chair Martha Wade Steketee wrote to registered attendees today.

ATCA is committed to providing a healthy and safe environment for our members at all convenings, and we support the efforts to contain the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Conference co-chairs Lou Harry and David John Chávez have decided in consultation with ATCA leadership to postpone ATCA’s April 2020 Pacific Playwrights Festival conference in Orange County, California until 2021 at the next Festival. We have forged wonderful connections with South Coast Repertory and other area cultural and travel organizations and believe that we can recreate — and expand upon — the programming we have built.

ATCA is also considering a New York City conference in November 2020. Stay tuned for more information on that.

All registrants will be notified about the process for receiving a full refund.

Stay safe. Stay healthy. And we look forward to seeing you at future ATCA conferences.
