Jonathan Abarbanel | Retired and writing
In June 2021 former ATCA ExCom chair Jonathan Abarbanel officially retired from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Theatre & Music, after 14 years as an adjunct professor.
He says his State of Illinois pension should “just about cover a daily Starbucks.” He continues to review weekly for The Arts Section on WDCB-FM Public Radio, where he and ATCA member Kerry Reid are The Dueling Critics.
In March 2022 he began reviewing for Theatermania.com, for which he was a regional editor and critic when the site was new.
