#ATCA2020 highlights art and activism

ATCA is making history November 13-15, 2020 by holding its first truly national conference, and holding it online. Unbound by geography, we will be tied together by Zoom and our common interests in theater and the creative people who make it.

ATCA2020: The Next Normal, our only ATCA convening this calendar year, has one of the best line-ups of special guests, panel discussions and starry names that we’ve ever put together. All events during the conference will be streamed via Zoom to registered participants.

Among the amazing offerings, on Friday November 13, the first day of the three day conference, the panel “Art & Activism: Covering Social Justice Theater” will be hosted by ATCA’s Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee. This is also the single session that will be available to view by the general public.

Atlanta theater and culture journalist Kelundra Smith will moderate a dynamic panel with five of the nation’s leading theater makers, including Snehal Desai (East West Players, Los Angeles), Kinan Valdez (El Teatro Campesino, San Juan Bautista), Rohan Preston (theater critic – Minneapolis Star Tribune), Murielle Borst-Tarrant (artist/writer/educator) and Diany Rodriguez (CREAT ATL).Log into ATCA’s Facebook page for directions to a live stream on Friday, November 13 at 2:30 PM EST. #ATCA2020
